Aquatic therapy for arthritis

According to various medical experts, when a patient of arthritis spends more time in water their pain reduces a bit. If a person gets in to a pool of water deep up to the level of the waist, then the person has to bear half of his or her weight. If one gets into a pool of water deep up to the level of chest, then the weight experienced will be only a quarter of the original weight of the person. Therefore, a person suffering from arthritis will surely be relieved from the extra weight that he has to bear. The person already would be struggling to handle the original weight while making any kind of movement. When he or she enters water, the weight felt by him or her reduces. Therefore, it will be easier for the patient to make movements. Recently a study was conducted by some researchers in order to compare the activities of the patients on land with that in water total one hundred and thirty nine patients suffering from arthritis took part in the study. They were studied for one month. One group was given treatment of aquatic therapy and another group was given the general treatment. The first group showed significance improvement in physically as well as emotionally.
