Arthritis and pregnancy

Arthritis might create several complicated situations during pregnancy. Women suffering from arthritis have physical limitations and they have to bear daily pain. There are many cases in which the symptoms of rheumatoid arthritis are relieved during the pregnancy. This normally occurs in the fourth month of the pregnancy. Swelling of the joints is decreased in this condition. However, the joint pain and stiffness is continued due to the existing joint injury. After the pregnancy is over the improved condition of arthritis do not continue. After the child is born, two to eight weeks later a flare of the disease can be observed. It makes the condition even more severe so proper precautions are to be taken in this condition. Doctor consultation is a must during and after pregnancy. The cause of arthritis is still unknown to the doctors. However, scientists have found genetic markers that can lead top arthritis. It is still difficult to say whether arthritis will be inherited to the new born child or not. Heredity is not the single factor that can lead to arthritis. Many external factors like environment can be the other factors. During pregnancy, a woman can also exhibit negative reaction to certain arthritis drugs.
