Still’s Disease and its symptoms

The symptoms of Adult Still’s Disease are basically a combination of more than one symptom together. Fever with chills, skin rashes and swollen and achy joints are the three combined common symptoms of Still’s Disease.

A person having Still’s Disease usually gets fever of 102F for more than a week. The fever tends to peak in the afternoon and you might experience more than two spikes during the day. Between two spikes, you might get some relief.

The body develops bumpy, pink rashes or sometimes flat rashes all over the body, particularly the arms, legs and trunk. If rubbed the skin might be provoked and the rashes might worsen over time.

As the disease leads to arthritis eventually, the symptoms of arthritis are commonly seen at the onset of Still’s Disease. The joints like wrists, ankles, knees, hands, shoulders and elbows tend to swell and cause immense pain. The discomfort lasts for weeks.

Another common symptom is muscle pain. Very little can be done about these aches and pains except taking pain relieving medications. The pain becomes very severe over time and disrupts the daily activities as well.

There are some other signs and symptoms of Still’s Disease as well, such as sore throat, inflamed lymph nodes, enlarged spleen or liver and inflammation of inner linings of the lings or heart.
