Benefits of fish oil for arthritis

 

There many studies and researches which have proved that having fish oil supplementations are very helpful to treat arthritis. The fish oil supplements that are rich in Omega 3 fatty acids can help to reduce the chronic pain and joint pain caused due to rheumatoid arthritis (RA).  
Basically, arthritis pain is caused due to the involvement of an over activity of inflammatory agents of arachidonic acid. Docosahexaenoic acid and Eicosapentaenoic acid, the main ingredients of fish oils have the capacity to block the production of these inflammatory agents. One of the recent research have suggested that patients looking for arthritis pain relief can avoid lower grade fish oil supplements because they have high levels of certain chemicals, such as polybrominated diphenyl ethers (PBDEs). These chemicals are not good for health as it act as flame retardants and destroy the benefits of DHA and EPA.
