Patches for arthritis

There are three patches of prescription that can be used to cure arthritis. The first is known as Lidoderm. This patch contains a local anesthesia that is known as lidocaine. This is used when the condition of the patient becomes quite painful. The pain may arise near the surface of the skin. However, the local anesthetic is also used in the cases of bursitis, shingles and tendonitis. The second patch contains a particular solution of steroid. This solution is also used in the cases of tendonitis as well as localized tendonitis. The steroid solution is kept at one end while a saline solution is placed at the other end. The patch has been designed accordingly so that electromagnetic current can be set up. The steroid solution is simultaneously sent in to the concerned area. This patch is rarely used as a patch. It is not so effective always. The third patch can also be used as a Duragesic. This patch is a narcotic. It lasts quite longer than other patches. The patch can last for about seventy two hours after being put on. The patch is available in a number of strengths. This is known as Flector.
