There were two researches that were conducted in the year 2008 regarding the efficiency of stem cell therapy in curing arthritis. The first research was conducted in the month of April at the UK National Stem Cell Network Annual Science Meeting in Edinburgh. As per the results of this research the stem cells may help in repairing the damaged cartilage of the bones. As a result it is helpful in treating arthritis. As per the second research, the bones the stem cells are present in the articular cartilage in the bones of the adults. These cells can be found in the people of age even more than seventy five years old. This treatment is more effective for the younger patients of arthritis who are still somewhat active. Now, the main focus is on adult autologous cells of the stem.
